Phenomania is a permanent exhibition which invites visitors to develop their senses and learn by trying out and experiencing things according to the teachings of Hugo Kükelhaus. In the former hoisting room of Zollverein 3/7/10, now the Bürger- und Handwerkspark (Citizens' and Craft Park), you can find 60 exciting and stimulating experiments and tests which enable visitors to experience and perceive things with all their senses. In January 2006, the exhibition was enlarged to include another 50 experiments based on the laws of physics. Visitors can playfully create and observe sound, light or movement phenomena in the interior and outdoor areas. And after the visit, the Café Zollverein provides culinary delights to stimulate the visitors’ taste buds.
