Exhibitions, conferences, parties and receptions: This is what the gallery has been famous for since 1996. Innovative and critical works on environmental design and urban visions of the future are exhibited in the former machinery room of the Oberschuir pit under the name "stadt.bau.raum". There is room for debates and presentations for both professional audiences and the layman. The machinery room, which is the largest and, at the same time, the centre of the complex, still reminds us of its industrial past with its still working crane rails and ventilation stacks.
