Stellwerk c/o Triple Z

The Zollverein signal box is part of pit 4/5/11 of the former Zeche Zollverein colliery. It was from here that the colliery’s rail traffic was originally controlled. In 2001, Triple Z AG applied for a subsidy to turn the signal box into an artist’s studio. Today, the premises provide 80 m² of attractive working and living area. The 28 m² former control room with its large glass front forms the core of the studio. After the renovation, the signal box was handed over to the Stellwerk Zollverein e.V. association for use.
